I Built a One-Touch Sonos Remote in 30 Minutes

I built a Sonos remote that groups all my speakers with one touch.

I bought an ESP32 device and had my own remote working in less than 30 minutes by talking to Codex.

Grouping and volume are what I use most, and going into the app every time is annoying.

On the speakers themselves you can only group by walking over to one and long-holding the play button.

There is no way to raise the volume of a whole group at all.

I am blown away by how quickly this came together and how well it works. I programmed my first C game on a TI-92 Plus in 2000.

I read all the code Codex wrote and it gave me memories from my early years of coding.

Super fast, great response.

Here is the repo with a CLI script to set it up on yours: https://github.com/herget/sonos-esp32-remote
